It’s that time of year again — when my flips have to go back into the closet. I wrestle with this every fall. I love wearing flips — the easiness of them; the way they mold to my well-manicured summertime feet.

When fall hits, I am always trying to find shoes to wear. What would be equally as comfortable and easy to wear?  Real shoes just do not feel right until mid October.

Well, this fall I have found the ideal shoes to take place of my well loved flips —

It is the SLIPPER — oh yes the infamous HOUSE SHOE. Slippers are automatically comfortable & toasty warm to counteract the fall chill. In addition, very stylish I must say. Slippers now come in an array of fun colors and styles.
 
Some slippers have a hard bottom; this makes me think you can wear them outdoors. You know to get the mail. I just take it one-step further and walk around the streets on New York City.

Here are some great styles I have found. Once I slip my still well manicured feet into these babies, I will no later think of my
flips — well at least not until next summer!

SJP In the Store

If you have not heard by now Sarah Jessica Parker fashion girl of life, has a new clothing line at the STEVE & BARRY stores. The line is called BITTEN.

I have always been a big fan of STEVE & BARRY’S. The clothing is majority affordable & the styles are easy to wear. When I travel to my hometown of Buffalo, NY, I would make my sis take me there first thing – even before I saw my Mom!

First, it is beyond fashion genius for the BITTEN line to run in a full range of sizes – 2-22 – so excellent! The prices are extremely reasonably nothing is over 20 bucks! All of this makes perfect business sense – everyone who wants to wear her line can wear her line. SJP gets it!!

STEVE & BARRY’S hosted a shopping night for the press. I arrived there ready to shop! As I entered the store, I could hardly breathe. This happens to me from time to time when I am in the mist of a true fashion moment.

I am not a big fan of the dressing room any dressing room – so at my point of purchase I was not sure how the sizes ran – the creative director was on hand to answer questions but one truly does not know until the garment is really tried on.

I purchased several pairs of jeans and pants. I raced home to try on my new treasures

My faves –  

PREMIUM ROLL UP CAPRI JEANS – These jeans are so easy to wear & great for all seasons.

ANKLE ZIPS CROP JEAN – I bought these because SJP was wearing them in so many pics – I thought -- how fab you could wear them with cute ballet flats -- so retro or with a classic black pump. I would buy these a size larger they ran a little smaller

THE BOYFRIEND JEAN – These jeans fit so comfy. Being high waisted    and wide legged they are very now and a good choice for the CURVYGIRL. In addition, just the word “boyfriend” to describe these jeans is so cute sounding!

THE SEERSUCKER PANT – They are so lightweight. I just love these they are so summer!

THE ROLL UP CIGAR PANT – Supercute because you can roll them up or wear them down. I love having that choice. I bought these in every color!

As you can tell, I do like jeans. There are so so many more garments in the line, including accessories. Oh yeah I did get a great blue striped tote.

After the press shopping night I have been everyday – I am in NYC so the crowds have been massive & the shelves emptied but the helpful sales staff informed me they receive a new shipment on a regular basis.

When trying things on I found the tops and dresses to run somewhat small. The jeans run true to size except the ones I mentioned.

As with anything – TRY ON TRY ON TRY ON –BECAUSE YOU NEVER KNOW.
